Have you ever been in the shower wondering where all.that.hair in the drain comes from when suddenly – boom! – your mind figures something out that’s been puzzling you for weeks?
I love those moments.
This happens because your subconscious mind is always working things out even while your conscious mind feels as clogged as the drain.
When your logical thinking isn’t giving you the answer you need, tap into your subconscious mind!
Five Minutes in the Morning recommends making a request to your subconscious mind. Write it down and pick a specific time for your subconscious to get back to you.
Then, come back to it with a fresh mind and a fresh perspective.
Don’t worry if nothing seems clearer when you come back. Simply repeat the process and trust that the powers beyond your logical thinking will prevail.
Here’s what I wrote:
A Course in Miracles is telling me to lay my grievances aside, that holding them blocks God’s plan for salvation, & that holding them is an active attack against God. I want my subconscious mind to present me with a solution as to why I want to hold on to my grievances.
My biggest grievance is my mother. I spoke with my therapist about this. There are some things we will never see eye-to-eye on, & that’s fine. I have a grievance tied up in that, & about her fundamentalist views of God, how she weaponizes her faith & seems to delight in persecuting those she judges. I know this is her ego acting out. Were she conscious she would not attack.
I ask my subconscious for a solution by next Friday, please & thank you.
What do you want your subconscious mind to work on, dear reader? Feel free to share in the comments below!
And have a wonderful weekend!
