what is your story?

Everyone feels better when they feel like the main character in their own life.

That is, until life piles things on that can make us feel less than.

The trick is to turn the situation around so you can see yourself like the hero you are.

Think about something that’s currently going on in your life and spend five minutes reframing it so you’re the one who comes out on top instead of under the pressure of life.

Here’s what I wrote:

I’m doing this on the weekend, & it’s been a constant struggle to relax – to get into the hammock, as my spiritual friend would say. So today I’ve decided to focus on what relaxes me – writing, meditating, watching my thoughts, getting ready for the week ahead.

Yes, there will be challenges, but I approach all challenges with awareness & see them as teachers. Even today, my desire to do “enough” to be productive in my relaxation, I know this is a teacher & I am so grateful for the lessons. Who is the i who wants to have productive relaxation? What a ridiculous thought! Any relaxation I do will be productive, even if it’s just mindless scrolling. That never lasts long anyway – I get so bored with passive social media engagement.

Maybe I’ll go out into this frosty day…
