We’ve explored our dreams.
We’ve looked at our desires.
We’ve assessed our values.
We know our strengths.
Now, we’re going to choose 3 – 5 things to do this year, 3 – 5 goals.
Goals keep us moving. They give us a clear target to focus on. When we feel stuck in a rut, goals can act as our map to where we want to be. They can keep us on the path.
HOWEVER
Sometimes the path we imagine isn’t the same path the Universe has planned for us. Life throws us curveballs all the time – that’s kinda what life does.
This has been a challenge for me – to learn to roll with life instead of getting rolled by it. I feel like I’m just starting to understand it, so believe me when I say that I understand the frustrations of setbacks But the setbacks do NOTHING to diminish the importance of the goal.
Don’t be so focused on the path that you’ve planned for yourself that you forget to look around and see shortcuts, or other paths to better things you’d maybe never even considered!

For today’s prompt from Five Minutes in the Morning, set your timer, listen to your instincts and choose 3 – 5 things to do in 2021. Take advantage of the supportive energy of this lunar cycle to make bold moves and initiate new patterns.
Don’t think too hard, just let your heart guide you (cheesy, I know, but true.).
Here’s what I wrote:
- Get my own place
This is in the works. I will have this by summer. - Get a car
I want to be a wandering nomad, & I’ve never had a car of my own, for a lot of reasons. I want to address the skipped developmental step that has prevented me from getting one. - Improve my relationship with money
This is a coninual thing, & as I work I will earn more. I will be smart with my earnings. - Meet 100 demons this year
So far I’ve met @ least 10! - Contribute to the improvement of the world
This is a bit of a cheat because it’s vague & because I already know that any improvements I make of myself will make the world better. Improvement does not happen in a vacuum.
What’s one of your 2021 goals? Let me know in the comments below, and enjoy your weekend!
